On this day, three years ago.
It looked like this:
This is LouLou. She was my couchsurfing host on this road trip. This was her first trip to Gooseberry, and she found this little flower in the water under the falls, and went for it.
Ann and I stayed with her for about 5 days. We invited her along on our trip, and she accepted on the first day that we went traveling. We went to Glensheen, New Scenic Cafe, and Gooseberry Falls. LouLou hadn’t been to any except Glensheen, I believe. This was also the first time I had the opportunity to go around and play in the falls at Gooseberry. It was a fun trip.
I’m looking forward to another trip when it’s possible.
This is a shot of my friend Ann. She was standing on the beach of the Glensheen Estate during our trip to the North Shore this past summer. This photograph just sticks with me. Every time I look at it, I want to put in an enlargement, and then on display. Maybe there is an emotion I’m not quite aware of when I look at it.
October 2nd was one of the few dwindling days before the auinter (autumn winter) starts. Since I hadn’t been out take photographs all that often this year, I decided I would go walking around the lakes back in the woods. The trails are plenty, and not all well marked, but the ones for the mountain bikes are the ones that will take you up above the lake into the bluff like hills that border the farmlands that still flourish in Carver County.
This hangs on my wall, though I have created another that I gifted to a fellow Reiki practitioner while he was ill. He had be ill for the better part of the week, so I created with water color the first 3 symbols of Reiki for him. I tend to draw or paint this symbol in blues and purples. In this case it’s in blues. Medium used were watercolor pencils, watercolor, on water color paper.
